Barmouth Bridge is Britain's longest wooden railway bridge and the longest viaduct in Wales. You can walk or cycle across the single track to the left of the railway and you can continue on a track to Fairbourne or the Mawddach Trail.
At present, extensive work is being completed on the bridge therefore, please check with us if you're planning your day around crossing it. For more information on the bridge, please click below.
Along the old railway track known as the Mawddach Trail to Dolgellau. The views are absolutely stunning with plenty of wildlife to see. It is around 15km one way, therefore, you may want to use your bikes or take a leisurely stroll. There are picnic tables along the way to break up your journey and a lovely pub called the George when you get to Penmaenpool. The picture shows the toll bridge in Penmaenpool.
As its name suggests, the defining feature of the Panorama Walk is its spectacular viewpoints over the Mawddach Estuary, the Cader Idris mountain range and Cardigan Bay. There is a Sunday Market every third Sunday of the month which includes food, arts and crafts from fresh vegetables to pottery.
